Our experienced payroll department looks after many of our clients’ payroll requirements and acts as an external business aid. We know that payroll can often be a large and exhaustive task, made all the more difficult by the growing complexity of taxation, employment legislation and penalties for non-compliance. Tax compliance

In a period of more thorough investigation and stricter penalties being imposed by HMRC, keeping up to date with your companies reporting obligations is no easy feat. Our team is committed to structuring your business in the most tax effective way, taking full advantage of available tax reliefs, making you aware of industry specific tax opportunities and complying with all your corporate taxation demands. We have a diverse team of tax professionals who have many years of experience in dealing with a wide range of personal tax matters, including but not limited to; identifying and claiming allowances and reliefs to ensure you legally exploit tax savings, advising on Capital Gains Tax issues, dealing with tax affairs surrounding divorce and communicating with HMRC on your behalf. VAT returns and Making Tax Digital (MTD)

Our advisers have many years’ experience advising businesses how to address VAT, from the commencement of operations as well as creatively resolving the inevitable issues that arise from time-to-time.  We also provide assistance with compliance and can prepare and submit a variety of VAT, ESL (EC or EU Sales List) returns along with other VAT claims on your behalf. Making Tax Digital (MTD) is the long-term project to modernise the UK tax system and to bring tax compliance fully into the digital age. The goal is for all regular transmissions of data between taxpayers and HMRC to be performed digitally, and where possible automatically, through accounting software. VAT-registered businesses with ‘VATable’ turnover above the registration threshold (currently £85,000 until 31 March 2020) for the last year will need to comply with the MTD for VAT rules. VAT-registered businesses with turnover under the VAT registration threshold will be automatically exempt from MTD.
